This is a business leadership role on a team responsible for professional services delivery for core networking projects across multiple clients. In this role you will enter a high-energy and tech savvy world on a team that is experiencing an explosion of growth. We are looking for an experienced leader who has exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, is client obsessed, cares about people, has a growth mindset, and has a proven track record of delivering mission critical results. We are looking for candidates who are internally motivated who solve problems instead of getting stopped by them. Your delivery team will be responsible for projects in core networking technology services delivering multiple vendors solutions in complex enterprise and government environments.

Projects will range across the spectrum including assessments, architecture development, design, and integrations/implementations. Technologies include core route/switch, security mobility (WiFi, Private cellular/5G/CBRS, LoRaWAN), Micro segmentation/NAC, SD-WAN, and Data Center SDA. Over time the Manager of Services will grow to the following responsibilities: As a leader of people you will lead a team of highly skilled network architects and consultants across multiple disciplines and projects. You will be responsible for teammate leadership, teammate growth and mentoring, and promoting a people focused culture. As a business leader you will be responsible for providing governance to the business you are responsible for, including driving business growth, quality of delivery, high customer satisfaction, and profitability. You will interface directly with clients, Insight and Insight partner sales teams, and participate/drive activities to evangelize our capabilities and expertise both within and outside of Insight.

What you'll do at Insight:

  • Teammate leadership
    • Development and success for a team of 5 up to 15+ direct reports
    • Drive team excellence, Insight Culture, and Values
    • Mentor and coach junior team members
    • Conduct frequent 1:1s with teammates to establish a constant feedback loop
    • Motivating, inspiring and recognizing your teammates
    • General HR tasks such as expense report approvals, vacation approvals etc.
  • Drive Sales
    • Establish relationships with customer sales teams and pre-sales technical resources
    • Work with sales leaders to manage pipeline and support sales team efforts
    • Evangelize Insight capabilities and experience to drive business growth
    • Provide business review and approval of proposals, statement of works, and quotations
    • Assess business opportunity and technical innovations
    • Support sales teams in qualifying, scoping and closing opportunities
    • Build and manage partner relationships
    • Outside of the box thinking to find innovative solutions or ways to deliver services
  • Delivery Excellenc e
    • Deliver various forms of business communications and documents such as presentations, white papers, case studies etc
    • Drive and participate in business improvement initiatives
    • Conduct after action reviews (AARs) to identify lessons learned to add to the common wisdom
    • Deal with escalations that arise out of delivery challenges or customer CSAT issues and resolve problems
  • Maximize Profitability
    • Financial tracking for business you are responsible for
    • Minimize resource bench time
    • Drive project delivery and business efficiencies
    • Develop new service offerings or methodologies to meet specific needs of the market or a client

What you'll need to join Insight:
  • 8+ years in leadership roles
  • Experience leading a technical team. Strong preference to those who have lead teams in a network consulting or professional services business.

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline or demonstrated performance in a technical work environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, present and articulate strategies across various audiences; sales, marketing, partners, clients, consultants, executive leaders (internal and external).
  • Ability to work from a home office
  • Willingness to travel. (Typical travel is under 20% and closer to 5%).
  • Active DoD security clearance a plus
