Citi seeks an experienced immigration law attorney to join its Immigration Law Unit. The position supports the immigration law needs of U.S. businesses and functions, and advises on a wide range of corporate immigration law matters, including:ensuring that U.S. businesses/functions comply with immigration laws, regulations and obligations;

advising stakeholders (HR, business management and others) throughout employee’s nonimmigrant and immigrant journey including legal issues, strategic solutions and risk management;

managing nonimmigrant, immigrant and other corporate immigration programs;

supervising outside counsel and immigration spend;

preparing/reviewing immigration documentation (including nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions) and ensuring immigration work product quality/consistency;

working collaboratively with Legal, HR, Finance, Tax and other areas with respect to reductions-in-force, mergers and acquisitions, non-employees and other matters;

managing all levels of immigration matters/cases with high volume accuracy in high demand environment;

conducting training for HR and business managers on a host of immigration-related topics; and

acting as an immigration subject matter expert and partner.

The successful candidate should have:extensive knowledge of U.S. immigration laws and regulations;

significant experience with counseling stakeholders on immigration law matters;

excellent analytical, communication/interpersonal and writing skills;

strong organizational skills, attention to detail and adherence to strict deadlines;

excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and PowerPoint; and

ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

In addition:Juris Doctor degree and U.S. state bar admission required;

Minimum 5 – 7 years' corporate immigration law experience required; and

In-house experience, and experience with financial institutions and/or technology firms, preferred.
