Apex Systems, LLC is immediately seeking a Defensive Cyber Operation (DCO) SME who is a self-starter, highly organized, is comfortable speaking with high ranking military personnel, and has a strong drive for quality. This position will support an Enterprise Level Government SI in the DoD & Intel arena, offering a strong upside for growth.
Client: Enterprise Government Integrator Location: Tampa, FL (MacDill AFB) Compensation: Competitive based on years of relevant experience Clearance: Able to maintain an active TS/SCI Clearance with the DoDJob Description- Active participant in meetings with DISA and mission partner working groups.
- Participate in higher-level (e.g., USCYBERCOM) Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) working groups to impart DISA DCO equities and provide input.
- Train and mentor other team members.
- QA/QC products before they are sent to the customer.
- Support mission-critical Continuity of Operations (COOP).
- Evaluate current technologies and processes associated with DISA DCO to identify gaps.
- Provide requirements and strategies for future cybersecurity operations.
- Prepare and present senior level briefings to share information and status.
- Participate in Operational Planning Teams (OPT), track all action items to completion and report back to the Government.
- Conduct and deliver weekly status updates to customer.
- Follow up on all taskers and due outs.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline and 8+ years of overall related experience; or Master's Degree 4+ years; OR 4 years of additional experience is accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Must have DoD-8570 IAM Level 1 baseline certification (Security+ CE, CAP, CND or equivalent)
- Must be open to obtaining a CEH or CSSP-A equivalent cert within 180 days of employment
- Excellent understanding of Cyber Network Defense (CND) in regards to protect, detect, respond and sustain within a Computer Incident Response organization.
- Must have prior experience working directly with high level military personnel to achieve requirements & goals by assessing systems needs via Gap analysis, current state & future state analysis, and researching best practices to achieve desired outcomes.
- Must have experience working with Counter Measures & Systems Teams to achieve client goals via coordination efforts with various players & stakeholders.
- Experience acting as a liaison between military & employer stakeholders via presenting senior level briefings to share information & status updates
- Prior experience training & mentoring other team members, as well as acting as the escalation point
- Great oral and written communication skills
- Retired Military Officer at the O-5 or O-6 level
- Experience in intelligence driven defense and/or Cyber Kill Chain (CKC) methodology; knowledge of Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) and other cyber threat modeling frame works.
- Familiarization with STIGs process and structure
- Advanced Certs such as SAN GIAC, GCIA, GCIH, CISSP, or CASP
