Why you'll love this job: The Lead Business Systems Analyst is accountable for elaborating details (e.g. acceptance criteria) in backlog items, ensuring all Jira board items are completed by documented deadlines and works with the Scrum Master to maintain and groom the Jira board & associated backlog. With a deep understanding of user needs and system functionality, the Lead Business Systems Analyst bridges between technology and business partners.

Your Responsibilities
  • Translates user and business needs into product backlog items (shared responsibility with Product Owner (PO)) to achieve "definition of ready"
  • Collaborates on backlog item refinement to foster a shared understanding of what capability per the roadmap is being delivered.
  • Work closely with Business and AD teams to use IT resources to achieve all key project commitments
  • Partner with PO and key members to incorporate feedback into the backlog
  • Required participant in all daily and ongoing squad calls
  • When applicable, provides documentation for stakeholders and/or provides information for others to document (e.g. training materials, message specs, technical/functional design, etc.)
  • Act as proxy product owner when delegated
  • Work with engineers & peers to communicate status, raise roadblocks and work with support teams to perform as needed troubleshooting

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of demonstrated ability in IT or technical subject area
  • Familiarity with diverse technologies and platforms
  • Familiarity with Agile techniques and tools - Scrum, Kanban, Jira, etc.
  • Experience navigating ServiceNow, Power BI & JIRA, SharePoint - experience and familiarity in multiple settings
  • Experienced MS Office skills
  • Effective use of Excel statistical functions (pivot tables, etc.)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industry trends, user demands and difficulties to be able to craft a robust user-centric solution
  • Knowledge of system functionality to engage in discussion with the squad
