Job Description: Senior Cloud Engineer - (Azure)
Job Summary:
The Senior Cloud Engineer will assist in the architecture, design, and implementation of cloud-based solutions against the vision and road map for cloud adoption within the organization. The jobholder is responsible for implementing and supporting solutions that focus on the overall health, reliability, operations, security, automation, and new capabilities within the cloud environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Utilize the latest Azure services and other cloud-based technologies to assist in the overall security and availability of the cloud environment
- Implement and design Microsoft 365 solutions, including migration support
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to translate business information and technical requirements into solutions or new product offerings for the cloud environment
- Identify patterns and develop automation within the environment that promotes standards and efficiency. Take an automation first approach for all new solutions.
- Implement capabilities supporting the overall environment (ie; Monitoring & Alerting, Security & Audit controls, Third-party integrations, Backup & Disaster Recovery) while following change management processes
- Work closely with the cloud services teams to deploy, troubleshoot and optimize cloud solutions
- Establish and drive best practices, standards, and patterns for the overall support and operations of the environment
- Assist cloud operational and run support as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Business, or Communications or equivalent business experience
- 5+ years of experience in architecture, design, or implementation of cloud-based solutions
- Hands-on experience with Azure (e.g. Azure SQL, Azure AD, Azure Storage, Azure Compute, VPN Gateway, Automation, etc.)
- Proven ability to apply new technologies to strategic business initiatives
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as ISO27001, SOCII, PCI-DSS, and/or HIPAA
- Demonstrated exceptional customer skills
- Strong and proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships and technical projects
- Excellent work ethic and leadership skills
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, very responsible, and focused on exceeding customer expectations
- Exceptional organizational, presentation, and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Demonstrated ability to deal with change and excel in high-stress situations
