TITLE: Lead Software Engineer - Crypto
Location: Tampa, FloridaThe Lead Software Engineer will lead a team of 10 backend developers in delivering efficient and cost-effective cloud-based solutions utilizing AWS infrastructure, as well as Java-based backend technologies. The Lead Software Engineer's team will be focused on delivering the next generation of DeFi system with an exceptional understanding of both the technology stack and the business objectives to be met. What You'll Do:- Provide technical oversight/expertise of a complex DeFi ecosystem using a cloud-native microservices architecture.
- Take an active approach in leading the technical definition, design and implementation of solutions with a team of motivated engineers and business stakeholders.
- Motivate and lead teams to perform their duties in the most efficient way possible to provide continuous delivery of business value at regular intervals in agreed upon timelines without creating technical debt.
- Apply people management skills to coach, mentor and develop team members and to instill best practice behaviors in the team.
- Assume ownership over the quality, client confidentiality, total cost of ownership, maintainability and security of the solutions built by the team.
- Show a commitment to quality by establishing appropriate processes for unit, integration and acceptance testing.
- Drive and contribute to the design of the overall solution, working with our Architecture team to align with the Global Technology Architecture Strategy.
- B.S. in Computer Science or Software Engineering
- A minimum of 5 years experience with microservices, CICD and cloud-native architecture.
- A minimum of 7 years of senior-level Java programming including Spring Boot / Framework / Security / Cloud / Data.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with Kubernetes, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) and technologies such as Hibernate/JPA for mapping object models.
- Experience building REST web services and some understanding of GraphQL concepts (knowledge of Spring/GraphQL integration a plus).
- Experience with highly scalable, reliable event processing platforms such as Kafka or Google Pub/Sub and integrations with Spring Cloud.
