Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Senior Project Manager for a direct placement with one of our premier financial services clients in Tampa, FL. Responsibilities :

  • Oversees all technology components of diverse, complex IT projects, including project planning, execution, timing, functionality, quality and cost.
  • Independently run workstream meetings / workshops leveraging defined agendas and managing associated artifacts
  • Ability to document detailed meeting minutes of workings sessions and committee meetings and synthesize into key outcomes and actions
  • Communicates with end-users to provide timely and accurate information and status updates
  • Works closely with business analysts to track and break bottlenecks in requirements capture
  • Manage book of work within the program and prioritize epics / user stories
  • Apply agile project matter principles within a large firm with multiple development teams following hybrid methodology
  • Utilizes expertise and leadership skills to direct staff and to resolve issues to ensure project goals and requirements are met
  • Ensures project management best practices and procedures are followed and SDLC is compliant
  • Persuades and influences others through communication and diplomacy skills; may negotiate with external parties.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding the firm, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience (experience more important than degree)
  • 8+ years' experience in an IT Program / Project management role, preferably within Financial Services
  • Subject matter expertise in KYC / Institutional Client Onboarding is a differentiator
  • Knowledge and experience with agile project management (certification preferred)
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project and Jira
  • Excellent PowerPoint presentation creation a must
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills ability to communicate at all levels
