Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a VP Windows Engineer for a direct placement with one of our premier financial services clients in Tampa, FL or Dallas, TX. Responsibilities :
- Responsible for on-boarding and integration of in-house developed or third-party applications into common technology stacks and processes. Streamline and standardize application release processes.
- Work with development teams to define, submit and then track infrastructure procurement requests. Troubleshoot application and database issues and provide performance tuning services.
- Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
- Review requirement documents define hardware requirements and examine and update processes and procedures as necessary. Responsible for overall operating system applications
- Work with developers and ethical hack teams to close development and infrastructure findings for external and internal facing applications.
- Facilitate integration of incoming and outgoing feeds to and from internal and external parties.
- Contribute to technical direction and strategic decisions. Provide technical/strategic direction and act as advisor/coach to junior analysts
- Experience with Wintel 2016& IIS. Manage all infrastructure related tasks & application specific tasks for servers.
- Expertise in troubleshoot in-house and third-party applications hosted on Wintel Platform
- Must have knowledge in PowerShell or any scripting languages for Windows admin and apps.
- Should have knowledge of security i.e., SSL or others
- Good understanding of patching VTM at OS levels, Middleware app levels etc.,
- Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence tools
- Should be able to work with minimum or no supervision.
- Good communication skills, self-driven and highly motivated individual
- SQL Server knowledge is strongly desirable
- Secure feed setups using NDM, SFTP etc., is a plus.
- Loans IQ, Right Fax, Cognos, and SQL AOL knowledge is desirable.
- Knowledge of ITRS, SCOM is desirable.
