Job Description

Title: Senior UI/.NET Developer

Location: Tampa, FL

Duration: 6 month contract to hire
Job Summary Specifies design, implements, tests, debugs, and supports software applications.Designs database integration services and front-end GUI code that support department procedures and standards. Takes on a leadership role and is engaged in team mentorship.

Duties and Responsibilities Works with internal departments to provide associated deliverables required for successful completion of mission critical applications. Gathers user requirements and translates them into functional application units. Works with central Web Team, internal content owners, or external contractors to develop application solutions. Writes and modifies mission critical application code in a variety of platforms (.NET, Windows Azure, iOS, Android, Xamarin), following department procedures and standards. Designs and develops databases and unstructured data stores. Develops knowledge of existing APIs with all desktop software used within the company. Develops knowledge of all Host-related communication mediums including Quest and PowerOn. Troubleshoots programming problems, reading and interpreting application code. Maintains all source code in centralized source code management tool. Develops and maintains quality procedures and documentation. Mentors Junior Programmer/Analysts and Programmer/Analysts May participate in Information Technology Division's regular on-call rotation. Maintains knowledge and understanding of current trends, laws, issues, and best practices affecting area of expertise.Attends educational events that will increase professional knowledge and be otherwise beneficial to the Credit Union.Completes annual BSA/AML Compliance Training and understands employee's role in maintaining an effective BSA/AML compliance program, and completes FACT Act Red Flag training.

Minimum Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. (A comparable combination of work experience and training may be substituted for education requirements.) 7or moreyears of previous application development work experience, to include experience in .Net, and relational database design or NOSQL. Excellent knowledge and understanding of object oriented programming and design principles.Excellent knowledge and understanding of C# and Xamarin. Strong data analysis and integration skills.Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Able to document processes through flow-charts and specifications. Able to prioritize tasks, deal effectively with competing and changing priorities, and meet deadlines.Accurate, detail-oriented, and organized. Able to resolve difficult and often complex problems and situations. Excellent knowledge and understanding of Credit Union products, services, policies, and procedures as they pertain to the job Excellent knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance necessary to successfully perform job responsibilities. Excellent knowledge and understanding of all Credit Union computer systems and software programs required to perform job duties, including knowledge of Network, TCP/IP and Server NT platform. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills in order to interact professionally and effectively with staff and vendors. Able to influence others regarding policies, practices, and procedures. Works with limited oversight from manager.
