Aircraft Assembly Technician

Description:For the gear shop, the ideal individual comes from the an automotive service center/has an automotive experience. or entry level A&P mechanic.Will also take individuals out of the military that worked on aircraft or vehicles.Under the direction of the Production Shop Supervisor, the Gear Technician services aircraft landing gear components through troubleshooting, diagnostic testing, and parts replacement at the component/depot level using manuals and other data. This position requires strong mechanical ability and great attention to detail. A Gear Technician must be willing to accomplish both repetitive and unfamiliar tasks on a regular basis with the use of aviation repair manuals.Skills:hydraulics, pneumatics, landing gear, micrometer, calipersTop Skills Details:hydraulics, pneumatics, landing gearAdditional Skills & Qualifications:High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): RequiredExperience:1-3 years of Experience in backshop Aircraft Maintenance assembly preferred but will take experience related to hydraulics/pneumatics / wireharness assembly experience within the automotive industry or military.No A&P or certifications are required for these openings.
