- BSEE (or MS) in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Basic programming skills a plus
- Experience with LabView software
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience with RF, radar, electronic/electromechanical, and control systems
- Candidate must have hands-on laboratory experience with instrumentation, test equipment, and debug/test methods including use of network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power meters, etc.
- Working knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings and schematics
- Experience with validation of interconnect diagrams and schematic capture at PCB and system level
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills, ability to respond to ever-changing priorities, ability to analyze and solve problems and ongoing knowledge of systems hardware, software and industry best practices
- Provide engineering support for X-Band weather radar design, calibration, and testing
- Responsibilities will vary based on specific areas of expertise, but will include some of the following tasks:
- Troubleshooting complex systems
- Radar system testing and calibration
- Electronic and electromechanical system integration
- Interface testing and validation for custom-built transmitter and receiver components
- Schematic drawing development and review
- Production level system analysis and validation
