We are searching for a responsible, self-starter to be our new Landscape Construction Foreman to manage a landscape construction team. Please note this is a working Foreman position that is very physically demanding - you must be able to work outdoors in the Florida heat. The chosen candidate must have a clean driving record as you will be driving a company vehicle and must be eligible to be added to the insurance
The team will provide quality service that meets or exceeds our customer's and management’s expectations and the Foreman is held accountable for ensuring these standards are met. The Foreman will show attention to detail and effectively communicate with subordinates, peers and the Operations Manager. All crew members will possess a friendly, customer service minded attitude and will conduct themselves in a professional manner.
To be successful as a Landscape Construction Foreman, you should be able to both follow and provide instructions. A top-notch Landscape Foreman should constantly be expanding their plant knowledge, be a keen problem-solver, and possess remarkable communication skills.
90 Day introductory period applies to this position. Benefits available after 90 day introductory period.
Rate of pay is based on experience. This is a full-time salaried position.
The Foreman's Daily Duties + Responsibilities include:
-Executing and overseeing the construction of both commercial and residential outdoor spaces
-Leadership skills and sound knowledge of all facets of both landscape and hardscape design and installation
-Ensuring all crew members obey health and safety regulations at all times
-Monitoring and training workers
-Supervising the use of equipment
-Delegating tasks and overseeing the use of tools and equipment
-Assessing progress and making recommendations
-Completing inventory checks and equipment inspections
-Providing cost, material, equipment, and time estimates
-Preparing daily administrative documents
Landscape Construction Foreman Requirements:
-1 Year experience in landscape installation
-High school diploma
-Valid, clean driver’s license
-Basic knowledge of Southern plants, foliage and species
-Must speak and understand English, bilingual a plus
-Knowledge of tools and equipment used in landscaping
-Experience in a leadership role would be advantageous
-Ability to provide clear written and verbal instructions
-Ability to read landscape and irrigation blueprints
