Description Robert Half is offering a permanent position for a skilled Accounting Analyst to join their dynamic, rapidly-growing team. As an Accounting Analyst, you will be in charge of preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, various aspects of internal reporting will be under your responsibility. You will lend your skills in assisting the development and implementation of accounting policies. In addition, you will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This position is very involved as it will produce Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. This Vero Beach, Florida area-based position is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity to work for a company that recognizes and rewards hard work.How you will make an impactSupport the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks
Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting
Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives
Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation
Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on
Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP
In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts
Manage schedules for monthly payments and capital lease
Survey and organize various financial data, reporting it in a useful and understandable manner
Oversee depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
Perform the month end close and produce journal entries under minimal supervision
Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries
Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Requirements
Mature organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Current and relevant ERP system experience
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
General familiarity with Process Improvement Projects
Demonstrated knowledge of Expense Reconciliation
Data Analysis experience desired
Adeptness in bank reconciliations
Deep understanding of Balance Sheet Reconciliation
Expertise in Analyze Variance
Experience with financial analysis
Balance Sheet Reviews experience
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines
Remarkable analytical, quantitative and social skills
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics preferred but not required
2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
