What does a great Release Engineer, Sr do?

The role of the Release Manager , S r is to support technical release process and serve in a governance role and control function i n support of the release management process. You will have the opportunity to lead and coordinate Planning, Execution and Release activities for teams. You will work closely with our engineering, compliance, and product teams to define release plans in conjunction with project timelines and ensure milestones are completed on time, with quality. You will have direct exposure to leadership and the benefit of working with a great team of engineers and product managers who are equally committed to delivering innovative cloud business solutions for our customers.

You will be required to respond to occasional requests for additional off-hour work in the event of an emergency client incident or critical business need.

Basic Qualifications for Consideration :

  • Working knowledge of online banking and mobile banking services and processes
  • Understanding of ITIL framework
  • Understanding of Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
  • Must be competent in system administration (Windows preferred but other OS's applicable)
  • Working knowledge of HTTP Servers (Internet Information Server preferred but other servers applicable)
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server
  • Working knowledge of Server and Network infrastructure
  • Basic working knowledge of XML
  • Understanding of basic security technologies
  • Ability to develop necessary documentation for external support organizations
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems in a methodical fashion
  • Must have excellent organizational and communications skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Performs duties as part of a scheduled on-call rotation in response to client incidents off hours (evenings, nights, weekends and holidays)
  • Responds to occasional requests for additional off-hour work in the event of an emergency client incident or critical business need

Travel required : 5% Percentage/frequency of travel
