Accountable for end-to-end product ownership.

Provides a continuous review and alignment of technology services to changing business needs.

Acts as a key point of interaction for all support, design, engineering and other product owners.

Acts as a sponsor for service-related projects and as a stakeholder on service-impacting projects.

Role Summary

Responsible for investigating, selecting, and driving the development of products for an organisation

Responsible for setting a product’s vision and strategy, ensuring that products are strategically planned and managed

Leads cross-functional teams from a product's conception all the way through to it’s launch.

Essential Functions

Act as owner and voice of the customer for a product or set of products within a product family.

Has profit and loss responsibilities for a product, ensuring that it meets user, market and business demand.

Ensure the product supports the organization’s overall strategy and goals.

Communicate the vision and goals of the product, product family, and offerings.

Drive strategy development, establish priorities and manage the roadmap using criteria and requirements defined during research.

Execute the product plan, collaborating with engineering and other teams.

Demonstrate functionality of completed products to stakeholders.

Develop metrics to assess the success of products and features and determine necessary enhancements.

Anticipate changes in market dynamics /models, adapts products, and creates product retirement and transitioning strategies.

Identify new products and features to create growth opportunities.

Manage the product lifecycle including market requirements, product release plans, user stories, release criteria, product launch, and organizational readiness activities.

Collect market data and feature requests to define and prioritize the product backlog and manage the roadmap.

Partner with internal stakeholders and customers to validate requirements and priorities through various forums (analysis, meetings, focus groups, etc.) and refine those requirements for broad market applicability.

Collaborate with user experience, business analysts and engineers with a focus on defining product functionality and designing solutions that bring differentiating value to our current and prospective clients.

Monitor market changes and trends to assess competitive positioning and opportunities for strategic product enhancements.

Manage and drive the product launch process and ensure organizational readiness across all partnering teams.

Lead the effort on developing launch campaigns, and training materials, ensuring a well planned and executed go-to-market strategy.

Assist the sales team by evangelizing the value proposition and developing sales tools that support their selling process.

Provide regular updates about product direction and release plans to the senior stakeholders and clients.

Assess market growth, adjacent markets, product/service extensions as opportunities, competitive positions and customer needs. Understand and document global and country-specific performance forces, trends, and nuances relevant for a client's operations (e.g. country attractiveness index, infrastructure challenges, regulatory limitations, customer behaviors, talent pool, etc.).
