HR Business PartnerTracking Code20200018Job DescriptionThe Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) implements and drives talent management and delivers Human Resources (HR) programs to foster a work environment that inspires excellence, promotes positive working relationships, and encourages an atmosphere where employees feel valued and recognized for their efforts, and increases associate engagement and retention. The HR Business Partner is responsible for leading all human resources functional activities for the client groups assigned.Core responsibilities include leader coaching in HR practices, development of managers and employees, performance management, employee relations, recruitment, policy administration, compensation, and information reporting and analysis. Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Collaborate with business unit leaders and lead the identification, development and implementation of human resource tactics and solutions for the client group associated with accomplishing business objectives. Assess and anticipate organizational and people-related needs and create proactive plans to address those needs.

Administers programs designed to foster a positive employee relations environment through the consistent and equitable application of HR policies and serves as a talent solution provider and business partner.

Serves as the initial point of contact for associates and business leaders on HR functions and processes (e.g., rewards and recognition, talent management, annual merit increase, performance management, career development, benefits, compensation, recruitment, payroll, employee relations, HR policy and procedure administration, etc.), problem resolution, and escalation of issues.

Anticipates HR-related needs in the business unit(s) and takes the initiative to proactively address current and future needs.

Supports the exit interview process to identify and address retention trends, patterns, and issues and to follow up with appropriate individuals.

Tracks and reports on the metrics for turnover, engagement, diversity, responsiveness, bench strength, and business unit performance.

Support organization-wide transformation and change management activities in rapidly changing and complex business circumstances. Create solutions to enhance supervisor and manager skills regarding coaching, feedback and performance management.

Lead organizational design efforts in assigned client groups.

Partner with talent acquisition on identifying and attracting talent for open positions. Partner with business leaders on selection criteria, process and onboarding practices.

Collect and prepare routine and special human resources reports and analysis, as assigned.

Complete general or specific assigned project, integration activities, or other special projects that may be assigned from time to time.

Execute the compensation and performance appraisal and objective-setting initiatives for respective client group to include annual and mid-year reviews, manager feedback, coaching and facilitation of performance management training.

Required SkillsRequired Skills:

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Knowledge and understanding of current state, local, and federal laws and regulations and current compliance requirements (e.g., EEO, FSLA, FLMA, ADAAA, HIPAA, etc.); Ability to understand, analyze, and interpret complex legal, regulatory, and HR-related documents

Strong coaching and problem-solving skills with the ability to advise managers and employees in conflict situations and on points of disagreement to support win-win outcomes.

Possesses a broad understanding of Human Resources function (e.g., recruitment, compensation, benefits, payroll, talent management, organizational development, training, performance management, succession planning, etc.

Demonstrated ability to implement creative solutions while working under pressure and handling multiple and often competing priorities; Self-directed.

Ability to build relationships, trust and confidence from senior leaders

Work involves confidential and sensitive information; high integrity, direct, honest style that demonstrates and recognizes the right behavior and values.

Strong analytical and organizational skills, detailed-oriented, and superior interpersonal skills.

Ability to collaborate and communicate with all levels of employees and management.

The ability to act as effective advisor to management on HR and employment issues.

Experience working in a highly matrix organization.

Excellent computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Required Experience

5+ years of HR experience, preferably in a Generalist or HRBP role

Experience working with mid to senior levels of an organization with involvement in strategic decision-making

Must possess ability to build relationships, influence and motivate others

Experience supporting multiple sites/locations

Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Law or related field
