What you’ll be doing The Risk Management & Compliance is responsible for overseeing Verizon Wireless policies, processes, people and systems and partnering with business leaders to identify and mitigate financial, operational, legal, regulatory and reputational risks facing the business unit. The Senior Analyst in Consumer Digital Compliance is responsible for addressing risks, including system misconduct, policy violations, and customer gaming, and process or operational gaps.

Drive and execute an integrated plan to identify control gaps, define and implement process and technical solutions within the Consumer Digital Compliance organization.

Work independently to perform in-depth analyses of business risks utilizing reporting and analytic tools provided by the Business Intelligence team.

Identify and interpret root-cause issues to recommend and develop action plans for risk mitigation.

Lead compliance reviews, exercising discretion and independent judgment. Identify risks inherent in the retail channel/process and make decisions on the scope of work to be performed based on those risks.

Perform data analysis and coordinate fieldwork and responses.

Develop unique work plans, review of formal policy documents, and manage the implementation and completion of process improvements.

Identify activities requiring investigation. Lead confidential, independent investigations of suspected fraud involving employees/agents/customers.

Work with HR, Corporate Security as necessary when conducting these investigations, ensure proper handoff for interviews.

Partner with Digital Channel Management to identify and resolve policy/process issues, perform analysis and draw conclusions directly related to policy or business operations.

Provide active involvement as subject matter expert in national and cross-functional initiatives/teams.

Exercise authority to formulate, affect, interpret and implement policy to ensure a strong control environment.

Develop action plan based on results.

Utilize professional expertise and judgment to evaluate, develop, and approve proposed enhancements to all Verizon Wireless systems ensuring proper functionality and controls.

Partner with cross-functional teams nationally to design system enhancements and troubleshoot technical issues.

What we’re looking for You'll need to have:

Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

Three or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Criminal Justice, Math, or Information Systems.

Three or more years of relevant work experience with a concentration in operational Compliance, business controls or Finance.

Professional certification (CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE).

Experience with report writing/database software such as Teradata SQL Assistant.

Strong organizational, facilitation, negotiation, and communication skills.

Advanced analytical, investigative, problem solving skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain confidential and complex issues and make recommendations to management.

Experience driving complex solutions and analytics to provide ongoing and automated monitoring of key risks.

Experience formulating and implementing policies and processes to strengthen the control environment.

Working knowledge of statistics, reporting and analytical tools (Tableau, Cognos, Idea, Excel) with the ability to perform in-depth analyses of large datasets to identify activities that require compliance investigation.

Experience leveraging auditing principles and methods to evaluate policies, processes and systems to identify business risks and control gaps.

Project management experience with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently leveraging organization and time-management skills.

Experience in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for analytics and presentation.

Ability to work under tight deadline, on multiple assignments, with strong attention to detail.
