What you’ll be doing The Verizon Business Group is looking for a dynamic individual to join the Market Business Pricing team. The team is responsible for providing financial oversight and decision support to the East Market team for business segment growth and retention. Our mission is to partner with sales leadership to drive shareholder value through profitable growth opportunities in core and emerging products.Responsibilities:Member of a team of professionals whose primary responsibility is to collaborate with business sales teams to develop and negotiate creative offers encouraging growth in connections, while balancing profitability. Keep abreast of the competitive wireless landscape and understand how the changes impact pricing and promotions. Build relationships and coordinate approval of offers with the national deal desk and government offer development teams. This position requires a solid knowledge of the business, financial statements, financial analysis and performance drivers. Possesses the ability to lead and motivate teams; exhibits strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. Value is provided to the Enterprise by acting with urgency and delivering balanced offers to grow the business. Individual must have proven track record of leading projects and processes that improve business performance.The desired candidate must be able to thrive in a fast paced environment with evolving priorities and critical deadlines to meet. This individual needs to have extensive experience communicating financial data to sales professionals and executive levels, and the ability to look at the business from a high level strategic point of view as well as from a detailed and operational level. Business case development/financial modeling experience required (including NPV, payback, EBITDA analysis).

Contribute to the development of the overall strategy of the Finance organization.

Identify changes in marketplace demands and trends for consideration in pricing deals and proposals.

Ensure all pricing proposals receive timely and efficient review.

Track customer contract commitments and partner with sales on remedies, as needed.

Form In-Building solutions proposals, collaborate with sales and network teams, and provide recommendations and approvals.

Support strategic projects, identify key business and financial risks within the Market.

Outline options while executing priorities and business related decisions to achieve Market goals and drive results.

Analyze ROI and profitability for business initiatives and identify improvement plans.

Identify optimal venues and methodologies for effectively communicating business results to audience. Conduct special financial and business related analysis for operational reviews, as necessary.

What we’re looking for You'll need to have:

Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

Three or more years of relevant work experience.

Three or more years of financial analysis experience.

Knowledge of wireless industry trends and key business drivers.

Even better if you have:

A degree or Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or Business Administration.

CPA, CFA, or CMA

Analytical and modeling skills – ability to review financial results and provide meaningful analysis, ability to proactively identify key business issues and drivers, and develop substantive analysis to support recommendations.

Strong organizational and problem solving skills – ability to organize, plan, and develop solutions to complex issues.

Ability to work and think independently, interprets and exercise professional judgment, and creatively solves problems.

Strong written and verbal communication skills – ability to accurately and creatively summarize analysis with relevant points for executive presentations and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.

Team player – willingness to be flexible in working towards solutions on issues which impact the broader organization.

Effective in building strong working relationships at all levels of the organization.

Advanced level Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Experience with financial systems and application.
