As “the world’s computer,” Microsoft Azure is a growing collection of cloud services for building, deploying, and managing intelligent technology solutions through a global network of datacenters. We believe the success made possible by the cloud must be accessible to every business and every organization—small and large, old and new.TheSr Executive Communications Manager is part of the broader Azure Executive and Employee Communications team, and will think creatively about different communication formats to inform and inspire employees and help enhance the Azure Team community. This role will orchestrate many stakeholders for regular core deliverables and requires an individual who is a great team player, a self-starter, and is experienced at creating and delivering communications content including written, spoken, and video media production. Ensures alignment to corporate employee communications focus areas and priorities.

Oversees the development and delivery of internal communicationssupportingMicrosoft Azuresenior leadership, including briefing materials,andscripting/messaging for internal keynotes,speaking engagements, and events. Drives the use of current and relevant templates and materials and the improvement of same; builds on effectiveness of previously used materials.

Collaborates with businessand HRpartners leading Azure Diversity & Inclusion,Management Excellenceand Culture efforts. Aligns goals with executive and employee communications efforts and executes accordingly to make Azure a great placetowork for our team members.

Understands the needsofthe broader Azure executive and employee communications professionals,and leads community networking, sharing, and learning efforts.

Determines the metrics for success for teamcommunications efforts,and the plan to measure and inform team strategy by utilizing data and insights from internal surveys and feedback channels.

QualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's Degree inCommunications, Marketing,Business, or related field. Related work experience may be substituted for education.

8+ years Communications, Marketing Operations, Field Operations, Program Management, Project Management, or related experience.

Preferred QualificationsStrategic thinking and counsel: Ability to understand business trends, stay on top of developments and corporate strategy, and advise on communication opportunities (both planned and impromptu). This includes continuing to drive the development of strategic “thought leadership” forthe org and leader.

Communication skills: Ability to create clear and concise communications in the right “voice” that results in compelling presentations/emails and in meetings with employees, partners, customers, developers, and others.

SeniorExecutive presence and ability to work with confidential information.

Demonstrates a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace, including experience seeking out and amplifying employee stories and perspectives from marginalized (or diverse) backgrounds.

Ability to work effectively with multiple business partners, including cross-group teams, virtual and global teams, vendors and agency partners.

Knowledge of cloud technology preferred.

Management experience preferred, but not required.
