Statistical Analyst for Equifax Inc. in Alpharetta, GA to formulate new statistical modeling solutions across EFX's credit risk and utility risk units; develop statistical packages using R, Python and Scala; conduct quantitative and using qualitative analysis on model performance; utilize diverse, confidential data sources, including understanding variables, unstructured vs. structured data, hypothesis, anomalies and others; to craft solutions using various modeling techniques; ensure quality deliverables, working under a project plan and design; create detailed documentation outlining design and technical specifications of each solution; perform predictive modeling, including credit risk model development and validation; audit code and data by performing qualify assurance; work with consultant and compliance team to ensure that statistical models are compliant with regulations and internal policies; perform feasibility analyses to demonstrate value of different hypotheses proposed by various parties throughout the organization; present statistical results to internal/external clients; write technical documents, including model development documentation; and utilize SAS and SQL within UNIX and Big Data environments. Requires: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Business or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus three (3) years of data and analytics experience, or alternatively, a master's degree in Mathematics, Business or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and one (1) year of data and analytics experience. Specific skills/other requirements - Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): predictive modeling techniques, including ordinary linear regression, logistic regression, generalized linear models, model development and validation; UNIX or LINUX environment; data wrangling, processing and analytical skills using R, SAS or SQL programming; statistical analysis; predictive model design, including project planning and design; presenting statistical results to internal/external clients; and technical writing, including model development documentation.
