Genuent is hiring a Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Developer for our direct client in the Alpharetta, GA area. This is a 8 month contract with a tentative start date of May, 3. As an Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Developer with Global Brand, you will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes technical design, development, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment and support. This hands-on individual contributor role will work within a dynamic, team-oriented environment, to interpret creative and functional requirements, and in turn design and implement high-quality components and solutions within the AEM platform to deliver enhanced experiences on our website. The role requires both broad and deep technical knowledge and the ability to develop reusable and scalable AEM solutions that leverage the capabilities of the platform.Responsibilities
- Leading the front-end technical design, development, code reviews, and implementation for AEM Sites solutions
- Working with business and technical analysts to translate creative designs into functional requirements and technical design
- Hands-on coding of reusable AEM components using modern front-end technologies
- Maintaining a modular and reusable component library
- Employing strong coding standards for efficiency, readability, and reuse
- Providing technical guidance to the team on software development best practices
- 3+ years of Adobe Experience Manager Development (including a strong emphasis on front end development) with specific experience in AEM 6.4 or later
- AEM certification (preferred)
- Experience with Adobe Target (preferred)
- Strong experience with HTML5, Java, JavaScript and JavaScript front end frameworks, CSS3, W3C, Bootstrap
- Extensive knowledge of web standards and modern browsers, responsive design, and of the full web technology stack
- Experience integrating UI code into AEM components
- Experience with REST/JSON APIs
- Experience with Linux environments
- Experience with Git, CI tools, decoupled architectures, setting up dedicated environments (development, QA, etc.) and integrating with a CI chain
- Experience with project tracking tools like Workfront, Rally, JIRA etc.
- Expertise in secure coding best practices
- Experience with object-oriented design and design patterns
- Critical thinking skills to understand user needs and business goals, and translate them into well-designed code
- Strong understanding of user experience principles
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline (preferred)
