What you’ll be doing As an Equipment - Construction Engineer / Project Manager on the Network Implementation Team, you will manage a variety of internal and external partners and vendors to do equipment engineering project management and oversee construction for current and next-generation technologies primarily consisting of small cell and venue projects. Your role will ensure that these multi-stakeholder, complex projects are delivered on time, to specifications and within budget.Responsibilities include:

Specifying Equipment for new build small cells / venues.

Reviewing construction drawings for proper equipment configurations, compliance with civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical standards and assess design for constructability and cost-effectiveness.

Provides financial management of all projects from initial proposal/bid through receipt of final product or services; managing purchase orders; forecasting spend; reviewing work completed and submitting approvals for payment when appropriate.

Responsible for the continual review and development of existing and new engineering and construction processes and procedures to find new ways and gain efficiencies in completing the build program quicker and more cost-effectively.

Works directly with cross-functional teams to develop and improve processes and communication.

Participate in quality assurance inspections, review of procedures, standards, and technical training related to site design and construction.

Work with team to evaluate new products, services, and vendors. Weigh the pros and cons, including impact to the system, costs, compatibility, ease of use, reliability, timing parameters.

What we’re looking for You’ll manage a large volume of projects impacting a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external. You need to have a keen eye for detail, but never lose sight of the big picture. You should be results-driven and well-organized, and adept at identifying potential project roadblocks and developing mitigation strategies. Excellent communication and team building skills are required to enable you to negotiate with internal and external partners to ensure nothing gets in the way of success. You should enjoy working on a team to achieve a goal and help with developing and implementing processes and procedures that will increase team productivity and efficiencies. You should thrive in a fast-paced, high demand environment, with the ability to work individually and collectively making effective decisions quickly, and balancing multiple priorities.You'll need to have:

Associate’s degree or two or more years of work experience.

Three or more years of relevant work experience.

Experience in the cellular or telecommunications industry.

Experience as an Equipment-Construction Engineer and Project Manager.

Construction management experience.

A valid driver's license.

Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

A degree.

Construction management skills including construction drawing review, project management, budget tracking, cost estimating and cost accounting of capital plans.

Equipment engineering skills including the ability to understand how various pieces of equipment need to connect and interact together.

Ability to visualize how sites are to be constructed and provide ideas for solving issues that may come up.

Knowledge of Ericsson current and next-generation equipment and the ability to quickly learn and understand new technology as it is incorporated into the network.

Experience with construction in the (ROW) Right of Way.

Onboarding new vendors.

Experience working within a workgroup to complete projects in support of organizational or area strategies.

Experience managing implementation of policies and procedures.

Results oriented with a strong sense of urgency while being proactive and flexible.
