Role Summary/Purpose:

Synchrony is continuing to build a world class creative organization committed to driving results with our retail and payments partners while also delivering leading customer experiences. Our Digital Creative team is focused on creating and producing campaigns and content for digital channels. The Art Director, Digital Production Designer is responsible for digital creative, production and execution and will ensure the highest quality output in a timely manner. This position will focus on client’s digital needs such as interactive banners, social media, email, etc. This role must be comfortable with a blend of digital production/execution as well as being an out of the box thinker/conceptor. This position is currently remote, where you’ll be work from home, but may be required to work in one of our offices in the future or occasionally commute to one our offices for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events.

On occasion we may request for you to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events. Essential Responsibilities:

  • Integrate seamlessly with key internal teams, ensuring transparency and a data-driven approach to creative production.

  • Develop creative graphic approaches that achieve business needs, technical requirements and project considerations.

  • Execute creative changes and/or versions flawlessly in a fast-paced environment – Social media, rich media, interactive and programmatic banners, digital video, web page assets using creative software and coding skills.

  • Modify user experiences and campaign journeys

  • Work with the creative and production leadership on the shape of tech led creative executions.

  • Deliver smart media creative that impacts brand metrics and business outcomes.

  • Ability to design and document great digital experiences

  • Partner with other creative team leaders in establishing and delivering against the in-house agency vision and strategy.

  • Ability to keep up with current trends in digital design, development and communications technologies

  • Create sophisticated prototypes to secure stakeholder buy in of new ideas/concepts

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

  • Must be comfortable within a digital production environment.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Digital Design, Graphic Design, HCI (Human Computer Interaction), or related field, OR in lieu of degree, a high school diploma and 6+ years of work experience in an agency environment or as an agency contractor

  • 3+ years of experience in delivering high quality digital design, motion, interactive work in a fast-paced agency and/or production environment.

  • 2+ years working knowledge of modern design tools: Adobe XD, Sketch, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator (Workfront is a plus)

  • 2+ years proven experience HTML, CSS, Javascript and HTML 5 skills.

MUST PROVIDE A PORTFOLIO/WORK SAMPLES TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE ROLE.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Knowledge of all steps required in the creative development process

  • Digital illustration skills are a plus.

  • Cinema 4D experience.

  • Working knowledge of design, brand development and overall creative process

  • Able to manage a high volume of projects with constantly changing deadlines

  • Detail oriented: Able to multi-task, prioritize, problem solve and work independently

  • Excellent problem-solving, planning and organizational skills

  • Team player, flexible and fast thinker, especially during critical or stressful times

  • The ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with your team, managers and clients

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • The ability to work in a logical, systematic manner

  • You’re a natural collaborator who thrives in a group environment and knows how to work well with your team.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must have at least a “consistently meets expectations” performance rating and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance requirement).

The salary range for this position is 56,000.00 - 112,000.00 USD Annual

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.
