Job DescriptionKelly Services is currently seeking Assemblers for one of our top manufacturing clients in Athens, GA.Assemblers placed with Kelly Services will complete simple assembly operations of large or medium-sized components, either by hand or machine assisted. Our client-s dynamic environment has a team focus and is the perfect place to take an assembly career to the next level. The production facility is climate controlled and assemblers placed in this role will be responsible for the assembly of components for installation on refrigeration units for Trailers.Responsibilities Include:
Performing repetitive work to meet company quotas
Positioning parts according to blue prints
Fastening parts together with bolts, screws, rivets, or other fasteners using hand, air, and power tools
Tending to machines to perform fastening operations as specified
Adhere to all safety requirements and wear appropriate (PPE) Personal Protection Equipment
Maintain departmental quality standards
Schedule and CompensationDay Shift: Mon - Fri 5am - 3:30pmNight Shift: Mon - Fri 4:30 pm - 3:00am or 4:00pm - 2:30amOvertime may be required based on production needs. This could including staying past the scheduled end time and can also include working an occasional Saturday.Day Shift Pays $11.00 per hour. After six months on the assignment, pay will automatically increase to $11.50 per hour.Night Shift Pays $11.75 per hour. After six months on the assignment, pay will automatically increase to $12.25 per hour.This is a temporary position that can last up to two years. During this time, there will be permanent opportunities. Placement in permanent opportunities will be based on the need for permanent positions and overall performance. Any temporary employee can apply for a temporary role, regardless of how long they have been on assignment.Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to work independently and safely at all times
Able to perform routine lifting up to 35 pounds
Ability to work as a team
Must be able to bend, stoop, stand, and squat
Must be able to operate hand tools such as battery operated tools, hand click torque tools, tie wrap cutters, nut drivers, and DC electric tools
Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time
Must have steel toed boots/shoes before starting position
