This position is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the Weatherization Program for a local nonprofit organization.
The principal duties will include, but are not limited to, assisting the Inspector/Auditor in the field with both initial and final inspections to meet production goals; attending training to obtain certifications as an Energy Auditor and Quality Control Inspector; and completing other program duties as directed by the Program Manager. Inspections are completed using the Blower Door test and other diagnostic tools to determine the work needed and the approximate cost of the work. This position offers 40-hours per week, Monday-Friday work hours, benefits, and competitive entry-level pay.
Successful candidates must have an excellent driving record as travel throughout the Northeast Georgia community is required (an Agency vehicle is provided). Additionally, successful candidates must be able to regularly lift between 50 and 60 pounds, climb under houses with a low clearance, and crawl in attics.
