Director / Educational Coordinator (East Cobb / Marietta)

Georgia, Atlanta 00000 Atlanta USA

Vacancy expired!

Are you a seasoned preschool professional looking for a change or new opportunity? Are you interested in joining the management team of one of the top preschools in the East Cobb area? A premier NAEYC accredited preschool in East Cobb seeks a Director / Curriculum Coordinator. You would join a team of seasoned management staff and help in the day to day operations of a high quality, accredited preschool with an established clientele and excellent reputation. We are full with waiting lists, and known as one of the top extended day, year round preschools in our area. We seek a team player, and someone who is polished and has excellent customer service and communication skills.

This job also entails working with a dozen preschool teachers, who teach infants through Pre-K, to help them with lesson planning and lesson plan implementation. In addition, we are looking for someone who can help us leverage technology in the classroom by maximizing the use of smart boards and touchscreen computers in the classrooms. We are looking for someone who is familiar with preschool curriculum (we use the Creative Curriculum) and can work with teachers to make sure the children in their care are getting the best education possible. Some teachers may have more experience than others, so a key part of the job will be identifying certain teachers who might need more help than others, and training these newer teachers in why curriculum matters and how it benefits the children and the school. We are also looking for someone who can bring cohesiveness to our curriculum so that in the big picture, all teachers are working towards a common goal rather than working independently. This person would support the teachers in their weekly lesson planning and make sure they have the supplies they need. They would also make sure a lesson plan is actually implemented and not just posted on the wall. They might also help a teacher with a difficult child by devising a particular learning strategy for that child. This is a great job for the right person! MUST have a 4 year college degree in Education and preschool experience either as a teacher or a director (preferably both) to be considered for this position. Top pay and great benefits including health, dental, 401k, paid vacation, paid health club membership, car washes, bonuses and more. Please submit a resume (all resumes held in strictest confidence) and a cover letter that specifically addresses and answers the following questions:

1. What type of management experience do you have?

2. What type of classroom experience do you have?

3. Where did you last work and why did you leave or why are you interested in leaving?

4. What are your salary expectations?

5. What is your philosophy on preschool education?

Good luck and thanks for your interest.
