- The Mainframe Programmer Analyst is the technical engine for development and maintenance of multiple programs using COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2 and VSAM.
- Experience with design, and development using various versions of .NET Framework and languages like C#.NET, VB.NET and Web Technologies like ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC 4/5 is a plus (NOT REQUIRED)
- The Programmer’s current focus/workload includes but is not limited to:
- Writes, corrects, and makes modifications to various OIT supported applications across many programming languages and platforms.
- Works effectively with OIT customers to learn specific design requirements and perform analysis and design of computer applications.
- Acts as a technical liaison between information technology staff and internal and external customers.
- Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively
- Analyses, interprets, and presents technology solutions to prepare design specifications in a technically acceptable and cost-effective manner
- Conducts analyses, interprets research findings, conceives a variety of solutions to functional problems, and reduces abstract ideas to easily understand procedures
- Develops logical code for efficient program execution.
