Come connect with us and lets build a better future together.Cox Communications is looking for an Operations Engineer to join the Cloud Operations team. The operations team you will have responsibility for deployment, monitoring and support of applications and services 24x7 in AWS. You will bring experience with DevOps methodologies and work directly with application developers and business stake holders.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:- Cloud operations and infrastructure management - IAM, security and compliance, availability, data protection, authentication and authorization, capacity and resource management, service metering and operational cost oversight, disaster recovery and mitigation.- Create processes designed to measure system effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.- Build and support CI/CD Pipelines and Deploy Infrastructure as Code- Define, implement and document operational processes and procedures, with periodic review for efficiency and improvement- Build effective monitoring, alerts, and metrics for Production services.- Work closely with internal team members and other stakeholders to review proposed changes and help devise post implementation verification routines and system health checks- Assist in testing changes in lower environments to ensure solution is as desired Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve any Production issues- Communicate impacts of change to all stakeholders in a timely manner- Exceptional problem-solving skills.- Provide 24/7 Production Operations support and Incident response.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

Where permitted by applicable law, must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to be considered for this U.S. based job. (Reasonable accommodations for medical and religious objections will be considered.) - 3+ years hands-on experience with AWS Services (IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, ECS, Lambda, Step Function, Glue, RDS, Neptune, ApiGateway, Dynamodb, Systems manager, Service Catalog) is a must- 3+ years of experience using CI/CD tools (git, BitBucket, Jenkins, Terraform, CloudFormation)- 3+ years of experience with automation, DevOps, and Agile development- Experience providing production operations 24/7 support and incident response.- Strong experience in the design and monitoring of highly available systems.- Strong experience with Monitoring and Alerting Tools like CloudWatch, NewRelic, Splunk

Preferred:- Working knowledge of Snowflake is a plus.Who We Are
