- Interface with different Product Managers and work cross-functionally with product teams to provide industry and standards updates, discuss industry specifications and standards roadmaps, understand product vision and roadmaps, and contribute to them
- Interface with product and engineering teams during design rounds to clarify industry frameworks and standardized architectures, and support discerning interoperability and integration opportunities from pitfalls
- Work with external vendors and product teams to identify potential partnerships, collaboration and integration opportunities
- Support technical sales team in RFX responses in regards to standards compliance and interoperability requirements
- Where applicable ensure designed solutions are compliant with standards and industry specifications
- Skilled influencer and facilitator with ability to promote and describe IoT benefits, direction and capabilities
- Able to break down complex problems into simple solutions focused on important business and market needs
- Ability to work collaboratively with others and navigate complex decision making
- Proven track record of architecting complex solutions involving cross-functional, internal, and external solution components
- Strong communications skills with the ability to develop and deliver technical presentations at an executive, partner, and customer level
- Experience with different aspects of IoT functionality, such as connectivity, security, provisioning, device management, data ingestion, real-time processing, analytics, edge and end devices, data off-loading, and integration with external systems including IAM, BI, AI/ML, billing and CRM
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience driving IoT capabilities, solutions, integrations with a vision toward building IoT into products across different industries
- Ability to thrive in a cross-functional, matrixed working team environment
- Works collaboratively with other team members in pursuit of a common goal
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize parallel activities
- Embraces a continuously evolving breadth of projects and goals
- Takes initiative and works efficiently while maintaining a focus on the bigger picture
- Capable of translating non-functional parameters from product management such as scalability, performance, security, availability, reliability into sound architecture for different environments (on-premises, edge, fog and cloud)
- Demonstrated command of state-of-the-art cloud-native design principles, including stateless micro-services architecture, RESTful API design, NoSQL database replication, geo-redundancy, graceful degradation, circuit breaker, load balancing, high availability and disaster recovery
- Ability to understand different customer industries, e.g. construction, infrastructure, industrial, healthcare and retail; relevant experience with the Construction market is a plus
- Familiarity with different digital and IoT product business models - subscription, outcome-based, pay-per-usage, asset sharing, "razor blade", data monetization
