Requisition Number: 202102466 Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, this is a temporary work from home role but will ultimately work in the Atlanta, GA office. The Principal Infrastructure Architect is responsible for designing and standardizing the organizations infrastructure, while providing strategic coordination as well as tactical governance between operations, engineering, and business customers. The person in this role will produce technical design deliverables that enable various infrastructure delivery teams to deploy solutions that are robust, flexible, scalable, supportable, secure and that align with the strategic initiatives of the enterprise. The Principal Infrastructure Architect will analyze, document, and promote standards and design patterns that represent the established enterprise architectural goals, as well as collaborate with solution architects and engineering teams in designing infrastructure environments for applications. Individuals in this role are also responsible for researching, demonstrating and providing guidance on emerging technologies and industry trends as well as maintaining expert knowledge of internal and external-facing systems. To be successful in this role one must have a comprehensive and deep understanding of all technology layers in the infrastructure stack, including, low/high level transport protocols, network, compute, virtualization, DAS/NAS/SAN storage, monitoring, and security. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in a fluid, fast-paced environment and to serve as a trusted partner and internal consultant to associates across other organizations. This role requires strong communication skills with engineering team members, operations support staff and business contacts. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: - Define and maintain the future state infrastructure architecture blueprint and roadmap. - Establish and document the current IT infrastructure portfolio, standards, and procedures according to industry best practices. - Partner with key stakeholders in Operations and Engineering to advance towards the established future vision blueprint. - Stay informed about technology trends, ability to differentiate between emerging, hype and mainstream evolution and assess impact to organization from low, medium, high, and transformation. - Evaluate emerging technologies and the evolution of current technologies to define a future vision roadmap for the optimal application of technology to meet business needs. - Produce appropriate design artifacts representing desired changes in technical architecture. - Address system quality attributes relating to infrastructure architecture, such as efficiency or availability, and recommend solutions. - Contribute to high-level estimates in support of business case development. - Define and document architecture principles, standards, and best practices. Ensure their adoption and usage. - Serve as technical point interface for infrastructure platform vendors, reviewing designs with the vendors where appropriate and driving improved service from these vendors where needed. - Establish yourself as a trusted technical advisor with key internal and external stakeholders. - Other responsibilities as required to support the companys growth.

Qualifications:- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or equivalent experience - 10+ years experience in the implementation of structured design and architecture processes in a corporate environment. - 10+ years experience leading in the design and implementation of Development, Application, and Data architectures. - 10+ years experience in an enterprise architect function. - 10+ years experience in the design of multi-tiered technology architecture. - 10+ years experience as SME in one or more layers of the infrastructure stack. - Experience working on M&A integration activities delivering detailed plans and costs within a standard framework. - Working knowledge of cloud computing concepts particularly related to IaaS and PaaS approaches. - UML/Architecture Modeling as well as the ability to effectively deliver presentations. - Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken. Evidenced by the ability to communicate across all levels of an organization. - Effective use of communication tools/methods such as PowerPoint and Visio. - Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - CCIE, CCAr, TOGAF, AWS - CSA
