Requisition Number: 211756 Cox Communications, Analytics Center of Excellence (CoE) is looking for Senior Analytics Engineer to join the Finance, Product, and Supply Chain, Analytics Team. This role will be responsible for designing and developing analytical software solutions for Cox Communications lines of business. The Senior Analytics Engineer is required to have proven software development skills delivering analytical solutions.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

Translate analytical use cases into functional automated processes
Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable application code
Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
Assist in building rapid proof-of-concepts
Evaluate new technologies, tools, and data
Stay current on new technologies, standards, and best practices
Develop cloud processes using Software Development Lifecycle process and continuous integration
Share knowledge by effectively documenting work
Prepare documentation and visualizations
Guide junior resources in the team

Qualifications:

Minimum:

5+ years of experience in related software development
Proficient in SQL and Python, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems
Proficient in developing on the AWS platform i.e. S3, Athena, EMR, Lambda jobs, Step Functions, Glue, DynamoDB, Aurora, Neptune, etc.
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
Skill for writing reusable libraries
Proficient understanding of code collaboration & versioning tools, such as BitBucket
Strong communication skills. Ability to work in a diverse team

Preferred:

Graduate degree in Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Analytics, Engineering, or closely related field.
Experience in data visualization solutions and data visualization tools
