Test Automation Engineer Senior Advisory

Atlanta, Richmond, Norfolk, Mason, Indianapolis, Chicago and other locations may be considered

Responsible for development and oversight of enterprise test automation strategies and functions ensuring the highest quality delivery of systems including; test strategy framework, technical test leadership, standardized test architecture, and associated methodologies and process architecture, test planning for strategic/complex initiatives, test automation strategy, end to end test strategy, and test environment strategy requirements.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Plays a leadership role in the design, development, and implementation of automation components. Establishes automation tools, frameworks and methodology.
  • Mentors staff in testing automation processes.
  • Establishes current automation architectures as business and technical conditions change.
  • Supervises the use of appropriate automation methods to employ to assure developed product conforms to requirements and design.
  • Facilitates review of applications for automation needs and requirements/design quality.
  • Experience with mobile app testing (iOS/Android)
  • Experience with web testing including functional testing and usability testing
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies, bug cycle management, and test design skills
  • Implement and maintain Multi- Layer Test Automation Frameworks - API, Frontend Web & Mobile Apps using Selenium, Java, Maven/Gradle, GitLab, Appium, TestNG/Junit, Postman or any other relevant tools is a big plus
  • Test framework integration with CI/CD Build Pipeline (GitlabCI, Bamboo etc)
  • Working with Cloud platforms such as (Perfecto, SauceLabs, Browserstack etc)
  • Provides consultation to projects and application support groups regarding automation design, development and execution.
  • Understands organizational impacts and trade-offs of automation processes.
  • Plays a leadership role in managing resources from alternate development centers.
Qualifications Requires BA/BS in Computer Science or Information Systems; 7+ years of testing automation experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Quality certification such as CMQ, CQA, CQPA, CQT, CSQE, or CSSBB required within one year of job placement in automation and prior to moving to next level.
  • 2+ years of experience with mobile app testing (iOS/Android)
  • 3+ years of experience with web testing including functional testing and usability testing
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies, bug cycle management, and test design skills
  • Experience working with Jira is a plus
  • Experience with MySQL or MongoDB is a plus
  • Knowledge of device Cloud platforms (Perfecto, SauceLabs, Browserstack etc) is a plus
