BlackRock's Technology & Enterprise Service Group aims to provide BlackRock Employees with robust technology infrastructure and strategic workplace solutions to deliver a consistent employee experience around the world, while handling information security and data integrity. Teams aligned to support the firm's functions.

As a Virtual Infrastructure Engineer, you will:
  • Act as a lead authority on core virtualization technologies, with emphasis on VMware and Citrix. There will also be a focus on transitioning to hybrid and cloud native solutions in this space.
  • Partner with the rest of the engineering team in the design and implementation of the virtualization and remote access platform as well as several cloud-based technologies that are core to supporting the business.
  • Be responsible for creating and maintaining documentation (SOPs, standards, how-to, BCP/DR) for services deployed and run by the team
  • Help evolve the service offering and strategy more broadly in the virtualization and cloud space.
Relevant technologies include but are not limited to:
  • Virtualization technologies
  • VMware vSphere 6.x / 7
  • VMware TKGI
  • Citrix technologies - Virtual Apps and Desktops / MCS / NetScaler
  • Scripting languages and automation (PowerShell, Python, CI/CD, Git / ADO etc.)
  • Admin skills / experience with public cloud technologies (Azure / AWS)
What You'll Need:

Minimum 10 years of enterprise-level experience in most of the following areas:
  • Scripting and automation
  • Virtualization technologies (VMware/KVM/Hyper-V)
  • Citrix XenDesktop CVAD
  • Windows server, AD, GPO
  • NetScaler
Working knowledge of:
  • Networking / Firewalls
  • Public cloud administration / architecture
  • Splunk or similar data analysis tools
  • Agile project delivery
  • Product management
