Requisition Number: 212062 Cox Communications is looking for a Manager of Analytics who will be a core member of the Analytics Center of Excellence (CoE) reporting to the Sr. Manager of Service Health Analytics. This role will be instrumental in the long-term growth initiative of defining and building out advanced analytics capabilities. The Manager is charged with driving initiatives within our Analytics CoE, developing opportunities, mobilizing a high performing analytics team, and contributing to client teams as an analytics partner in order to optimize the Cox Communications capital allocation, operating expense and revenue.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead efforts to produce value from Cox Communications structured/unstructured data assets utilizing advanced analytics methodologies in AWS
  • Manage delivery of enterprise grade analytics solutions in order to optimize the Cox Communications capital allocation, operating expense and revenue. Ensure value, quality, and timeliness throughout the lifecycle of these analytics solutions
  • Lead and mentor a high performing and engaged analytics team. Drive clear communication, visibility, collaboration and accountability within the team
  • Identify and support opportunities to advance data driven decision making, automation, and to streamline business processes
  • Convey advanced analytics solutions/technology to broader teams including non-technical audiences
  • Effectively partner and communicate with external teams to remove blockers and propel delivery
  • Liaise with key stakeholders within client teams to champion analytics

Qualifications:

Minimum:
  • Bachelors degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Analytics, Statistics, Engineering or closely related field
  • 5+ years of experience in analytics role in machine learning, artificial intelligence, research, predictive analytics, business analytics or similar area
  • 3+ years of experience designing and managing analytical projects/teams
  • Strong programming skills and ability to utilize a variety of data/analytic software/languages/tools; e.g., Spark, Tensorflow, Keras, SageMaker, Docker, Python, R, Gremlin, Scala, Java, SQL, Tableau, etc.
  • Experience developing and managing enterprise grade analytics solutions using Cloud platforms (i.e. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.) at every stage of the analytics lifecycle from ideation to production
  • Strong communication skills. The ability to comprehend and communicate advanced analytics artifacts, business insights, and resulting implications to non-technical business partners. Ability to work in a diverse team
  • Deep understanding of data domains, models, and implications for analytics use in at least one industry including telecommunications, cable, finance, media, advertising, or similar

Preferred:
  • Graduate degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Analytics, Statistics, Engineering or closely related field
  • Experience within telecommunications, cable industry, or high tech
  • Demonstrated experience in a consultant role
  • Practical experience applying advanced analytics approaches to mass transaction reduction and customer experience optimization
  • Experience in data visualization solutions and tools
