The Application Administrator will be an integral part of the installation, configuration and support of a specific application.The Application Administrator will install, test, implement and optimize the application.Install all prerequisite 3rd party software (Example: OC4J, JDK, Oracle client software etc) and configure the required software in accordance with the specifications contained in the application install documentation.Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems that arise in the application systems.Perform all the required database and applications administration activities in development, test and production environments.Support GO-LIVE activities. At least 5 years of experience in the installation, configuration and support of the database in use by the application.Communication skills; computer programming acumen; and the ability to analyze systems and determine how these systems can meet client needs.Undergraduate Degree (e.g., BA, BS) preferred in computer science, information technology or a related discipline.OS Administration Proficiency - Primary Linux Platforms (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu) / Secondary Windows Server Platforms (Windows Server 2016 R2 + ) (AND/OR)Azure Cloud (IaaS/PaaS), Azure Container - AKS Hosting, & other Cloud Platform Experience;Web/App Admin, Hosting Methods, & Support - IIS .NET (win) / Docker (Container) (Linux-all/any flavors) - Web Server Admin & SupportDevOps/CICD - Application deployment & troubleshooting - Pipeline Implementation & Support - Azure VSTS Projects, TFS, Azure VSTS, HashiCorp VaultSSL - Certificates / Bindings>Network Infrastructure Topology / High AvailabilityUnderstanding of Identity & Access Mgmt (Authentication & Authorization)Proficiency with MSSQL and/or Azure SQL (basic admin tasks - via SSMS - is a plus)Other Technologies as a '+' - Mongodb, Kakfa, Rancher, Splunk, Elastic SearchScripting - i.e. Power Shell Scripting as well as Ansible (tool to run the script)and as we support a customer base consisting of dev leads, project managers, & delivery leads - those customer focused / professional ""soft skills"" are also a major plus.Vacancy expired!
