We welcome candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of our academic community.DescriptionJOB DESCRIPTION:Assists in the development and implementation of program initiatives which may include the preparation of briefing materials, reports, correspondence and other documents, performing research, developing and maintaining databases, and developing promotional materials.

Communicates with national and possibly international program contacts.

Tracks program expenditures, and may participate in the budget preparation process.

May draft, edit and process grant proposals.

Prepares and distributes reports.

Coordinates logistical arrangements for meetings, conferences and travel.

Performs related responsibilities as required.

ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:Develops, writes, and edits various communications materials including newsletters and press releases.

Designs or oversees design of posters, fliers, and other printed materials.

Develops and maintains effective methods for distributing communication materials and information, including event deadlines.

Work with Emory Arts to ensure listing of events on Emory calendars, and to inform them of dance events and potential news stories.

Oversees social media efforts and create material for Emory Dance blog.

Performs related responsibilities as required.

This is 10 hours per week 9 months per year position with flexible work arrangements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva preferred.

Prefer candidate with a major or minor in dance or performing arts.

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department of work.
