Seeking a qualified candidate for the temporary contractor staffing position of AWS Administrator biased in Atlanta, Georgia. The selected candidate will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of multiple AWS accounts within the Client AWS infrastructure.
Roles and Responsibilities:Establish configuration, compliance, and audit program to effectively manage AWS accounts and resourcesReview cloud resources and cost drivers, compute, storage, network, managed services, database and service licenses, marketplace, and accountsAs part of our Managed Services offering for clients; monitor rightsizing, elasticity, storage optimization, and identify unused resourcesMaintain cloud-based servers patching vulnerabilities, backup/restore operations, provision new servers, configure firewalls, configure monitoring systems.Manage account containerization and tagging for internal cost centers and end client billing feedsMonitor cost allocations, security compliance, budgets and set alerts across accounts, workloads, and usersUse AWS Config to monitor and track resource configurationSet standards for resource configurations, evaluate configuration compliance, and risk, and remediate configuration driftUse AWS CloudTrail for compliance audits by recording and storing event logs for actions made within AWS accountsSet controls to monitor to assure complianceExperience with monitoring tools, middleware software and ITSM tools is a plus.Required Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited college or university and six years of operating systems analysis/administration experience OR Associate degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited college or university and three years of operating systems analysis/administration experience - Eight (8) years of Cloud Administration Experience
- Required AWS Certification
- Eight (8) years of experience in AWS
- Eight (8) years of experience in public cloud environments, including AWS and/or Azure
- Excellent technical knowledge of IT Infrastructure, including switches, routers, wireless access points, server operating systems and hardware, storage arrays, and security applications
- Eight (8) years of strong system administration experience in Windows and Linux environments
- Eight (8) years of experience with automation using an established framework (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, etc.)
- Strong technical knowledge of current protocols, operating systems, and standards
- Able to read and understand technical manuals and procedural documentation
- Experience documenting and maintaining configuration item information in ServiceNow or other ITSM platforms to support IT Asset Management functions
- Experience in public cloud environments, including AWS and/or Azure
- Experience working in an ITIL-driven environment and working knowledge of ITIL principles and processes
