The position of Cisco ISE Engineer responsible for managing and maintaining the existing Cisco ISE infrastructure. Especially related to AAA Authentication. This will also involve integrating varied network devices with Cisco ISE platform for authentication purposes Essential Responsibilities:

  • Advanced knowledge of ISE enterprise administration technologies such as RADIUS, AAA, profiling, TACACS, policy development, posturing, guest services, certificate provisioning, persona management, and NAC management.
  • Determines security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements; researching network security standards; conducting system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments; studying architecture/platform; identifying integration issues Identify gaps in the architecture and provide recommendation
  • Enhances security team accomplishments and competence by planning delivery of solutions; answering technical and procedural questions for less experienced team members; teaching improved processes; mentoring team members
  • Plans security systems by evaluating network and security technologies; developing requirements for local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), virtual private networks (VPNs), routers, firewalls, and related security and network devices; designs public key infrastructures (PKIs), including use of certification authorities (CAs) and digital signatures as well as hardware and software; adhering to industry standards.
  • Co-ordinate with IT functions group for remediation of identified vulnerabilities and adhere to and follow all change management policies as required to be met by the organization.
  • Responsible for Upgrades or as advised by the vulnerability management team; identifying security gaps; evaluating and implementing enhancements. Develop and perform status presentations as required.
  • Updates job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging security practices and standards; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. Recommend configuration fine tuning on devices in scope of Incident Response
  • Understand active threats against the corporate IT systems and coordinates with cyber intelligence teams
  • Appropriately respond to any incidents and ensure containment based on severity level
  • Participate in meetings to understand and recommend the best technical, most cost-effective solutions
  • Manage support requests and unexpected incidents in accordance with organizational requirements
  • Be willing to serve as either a project leader or as a technical resource in the development, deployment and/or sustainment of an enterprise-level initiative.
  • Update knowledgebase and documentation to stay relevant and bring the team up to speed on latest versions, configuration changes and development initiatives
Qualifications/ Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in IS, Computer Science, MIS Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • 6+ years of experience in Network Security required.
  • 6+ years of experience maintaining networks using multiple technologies such as firewall technologies, vpn, content filtering, web application firewalls, network routers and switches is required.
  • 3+ years Networking Administration experience required.
  • Experience managing platforms including the Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches in a production environment.
  • Well versed with the design, deployment, and support of the Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) including Network Access Control.
  • Advanced level understanding of networking at all layers of the OSI model and its application to systems and networking.
  • Advanced level understanding of security concepts such as least privilege, privilege escalation, role-based access and defense in depth.
  • Highly motivated, results oriented, self-starter with the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to identify and clearly explain various network security vulnerabilities and explain in detail how to avoid them.
  • Basic level understanding of workstation security including how end point and network security complement each other.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Certifications(Preferred) :
  • CCNP (Security), CCIE
  • Cisco Certified Specialist
  • GIAC
Desired/Preferred Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP
  • Hands on experience with packet level analysis and effective troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiar with Windows, UNIX, LINUX and IOS operating systems
  • Good ITIL knowledge
  • Flexible to work for 24x7 process
  • Excellent Communication and interpersonal Skills
  • Ability to prepare Dashboards and Reports
  • Experience of working independently & as a team player
  • Should have a proactive work approach.
