We continue to provide innovative care models, focused on improving quality and access to healthcare.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop analytic strategies to assess the quality and safety ofcare, and associated activities for the Clinical Documentation Improvement Department, provided atWellStar Health System. Pulls data from multiple sources and produces reports related to CDI, quality,safety, throughput, access, and value on both a recurring and ad hoc basis, to meet needs of a diverse setof customers; Uses statistical and/or data management software packages to clean and analyze data,create new metrics, and use that information to tell a meaningful story. Serves as the liaison between CDIand IT regarding the CDI applications, including but not limited to issue and enhancement activities andupgrades.QualificationsRequired Minimum Education : Associate Degree in Informatics, Nursing, HIM, Mathematics, Statistics,Economics, Information Systems, Public Health, Business Administration, Data Science, Analytics, orrelated field. Preferred Bachelor’s Degree.Required Minimum Certification : RN licensure in State of Georgia strongly preferred.Required Minimum Experience: Minimum of two years’ experience with data analytics, modelling, andreport development; any combination of education/advanced degree and relevant experience will beconsidered in lieu of the required experience. Proficiency in Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) orcoding preferred; Ideally has experience with common Business Intelligence and Data Visualization tools;advanced knowledge of Excel preferred; strong mathematical background. Preferred - advancedknowledge of at least one of the following areas: statistical modelling (e.g. regression techniques), datamining, econometrics; strong technical writing and presentation skills; and demonstrated experience ofpresenting findings and interpreting analyses.Required Minimum Skills : High level of written communication skills necessary to establish rapport withphysicians, other Team members, coding team and all other customers as applicable. Excellent timemanagement, training and peer development skills. High level of motivational and interpersonal skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills, decision-making and analytical skills, advanced computer skills and ability to work well under pressure individually and as part of a team. Chart review experience required.Preferred Qualifications : Experience and strong interest in healthcare data; ; experience creating Statistical Process Control charts; experience with manipulating large datasets; and relevant training or certifications. Minimum MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint) knowledge and expertise. EPIC Electronic Medical Record and CDI Software experience is preferred.
