As part of the team, you will have access to an unparalleled network of resources and endless opportunities to collaborate on exciting projects with diverse teammates from across the globe.This OpportunityWSP is currently seeking a Contracts Manager to join our contracts group responsible for providing US Government contract support for the lifecycle of projects to ensure compliance with provisions and clauses of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), agency FAR supplements, and other terms and conditions governing the firm’s US Government contracts and subcontracts.Work Location: Open to any WSP office in the U.S. and/or remotely based.Your ImpactThis is an essential role in contract planning and strategy for negotiating, administering, resolving contractual issues and close out actions for all government contracts.

Communicate contract policy and practice to internal business groupings along with ensuring contract review, approval and execution in accordance with business guidance and policies.

Coordinate and communicate with clients, technical and legal consultants, and project team staff. Furthermore, will research and recommend action and issue resolutions related to contract disputes and contract terms and conditions.

Must have a strong background in government contracts and understanding of services contracting such as design, engineering, construction, and operations and maintenance.

The duties will entail:

risk assessment

contract review and negotiations

contract administration

bonds and insurance

advising on contract changes

requests for equitable adjustment and claims

dispute resolution

reviewing and negotiating teaming agreements and confidentiality agreements

Who You AreRequired QualificationsA minimum of 5+ years’ experience working in government contracts for the U.S. government and/or a prime or subcontractor

This position requires a four-year bachelor’s degree in business or related field from an accredited college or university, with a graduate degree in business or law a plus.

Must be able to express yourself clearly and positively, both verbally and in writing, and have excellent interpersonal skills

Appropriately responds to a variety of non-routine, and often complex, requests and demands

Comprehensive knowledge of the FAR, DFARS and agency specific supplements

Expertise in government contract negotiation and administration, including administration of subcontract flow downs, change management, inspection, acceptance, payment, warranty, close-out and records retention

Practical and proactive problem-solving skills, critical thinker able to partner with Project Teams and Operations Managers globally

Ability to work independently, in team settings and under time pressured deadlines

Highest ethics, confident and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and changing business environment

Proficient computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft word and excel

Experience with management of firm fixed price contracts preferred

CFCM or CPCM is preferred but not required
