The opportunity:The Corporate Business Manager’s primary responsibility is to lead the cross-functional efforts of WestRock’s highly differentiated capabilities to develop account specific value propositions that deliver measurable business value to both the customer and WestRock. This individual will focus on growing the size and importance of the assigned account(s) across geographies and solution capabilities.How you will impact WestRock:· Define overall account vision, ‘Play to Win’ and account growth plan by aligning market trends and customer needs with WestRock solutions· Build and foster executive (top-to-top) relationships for Westrock lead communications with key customer stakeholders· Drive account P&L and overall cost to serve, ensuring profitable growth over the long term· Serve as the primary point of contact internally for the customer, coordinating the engagement of internal experts, and resources to deliver innovative solutions and drive Play to Win execution· Manage contractual relationships and negotiate multi-year contracts· Identify pricing dynamics within accounts to inform WestRock commercial decisions· Communicate account performance to WestRock leadership team, Region and Business Unit leaders· Model the WestRock Sales Excellence process of determining customer needs through consultative solution selling and propose the most appropriate WestRock solutions· Utilize internal resources (customer insights team, marketing, scope , supply chain ,etc.) and leverage knowledge of market trends and competition to build compelling customer strategy· Lead as required TSM’s and BRM’s with a strong account plan for strategic direction· Effectively motivate and energize team to achieve their individual quotas, professional development goals and WestRock's sales and corporate objectives. (BU Management , TSM , BRM, Functional support)· Provide team members with clear direction about how to be successful on the account and at WestRock and how to handle specific situations and challenges as they arise· Employ a regular cadence of interactions with individual team members and the team to monitor team performance, help team members address challenges and intervene where needed· Help to source new team members and evaluate talent· Strong knowledge in WestRock’s value propositions and key differentiators and help team members to communicate these key concepts during the sales process to close deals· Knowledgeable of and ensure compliance with sales systems, resources, and tools (e.g. Salesforce CRM, QlikView, etc.)What you need to succeed:· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.· Plant or Business unit functional Management leadership experience a plus· Track record of customer account growth and successful new sales quota achievement· Consultative solution selling experience.· Known developer and experience in leading sales talent and teams· Demonstrated ability to promote and use CRM data, tools and insights to drive results (preferably Salesforce.com) · Good computer and software skills like, Microsoft teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.WestRock (NYSE:WRK) partners with our customers to provide differentiated paper and packaging solutions that help them win in the marketplace.
