This 100% remote role will manage scrum teams across the globe and deliver products that are changing the ways companies manage finances.The Director of Program Management & Engineering is responsible for the end-to-end charge of the R&D program, from shaping the approach to achieving the desired outcomes through delivery via collaboration, management, and execution between outsourcing, internal technology and operations, and executive leadership.Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating projects and resource management within the program
  • Stakeholder and sponsor communications

Driving program outcomes:
  • Accelerate time-to-market with a focus on value delivery
  • Leads current state, transition state, future state program development, with major milestone delivery aligned to goals and objectives
  • Manages outsourcing and co-sourcing framework or guidelines for the use of contractors and professional service providers and determines their use across the program.
  • Partner s with sponsor to communicate program / release goals, objectives, and potential outcomes.
  • Lead s coordination with all partners to inform, alert, negotiate and maintain a continuing good relationship and shared vision for the program outcome.
  • Establish es and ensure es overall program governance via appropriate functions, policies, and procedures.
  • Actively maintains program documentation, communications, collaboration, reporting with all partner/stakeholder mapping.
  • Manages the program budget and maintains expenses within the plan.
  • Ensures and balances the team topology, skills, and competencies of all development and delivery teams.
  • Advises, builds, and maintains relationships across the wider stakeholder community. Serves as intermediary between customers, stakeholders, and development teams.
  • Utilizes feedback and metrics (quality, delivery rate, etc.) to identify areas of opportunity and partners with others to coach the program to continuously improve
  • Oversees the execution of product workstreams, their progress compared with the plan and the production of agreed deliverables.
  • Monitors and coordinates dependencies across the projects in the program and resolves conflicts.
  • Supports and facilitates agenda setting for program steering committee meetings.

  • IT leadership team and staff
  • Business unit executives
  • Other functional group leaders
Requirements:Education:A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or a related field, or equivalent work experience.Experience:
  • 10+ years of experience in technology business/industry
  • 5+ years in diverse roles with increasing leadership responsibilities across major projects and programs
  • C onsulting leadership experience
  • Demonstrated experience in managing "upward among senior leadership
  • Demonstrated experience in leading diverse teams, including offshore, nearshore
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to develop and communicate the program objectives, inspire and motivate staff, and maintain alignment with the business strategy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain and "sell the program goals and objectives to the business, as well as technical leadership.
  • High emotional intelligence, astuteness and the ability to use organizational leverage, influencing and negotiating to achieve program success and overcome obstacles.
  • A high level of empathy and the ability to vary styles of interaction to match the needs of a variety of temperaments and personalities.
  • Mastery of complex facilitation and dependency management techniques (cross team, cross department)
  • Partners with technical leaders and others to support program/organization's automation (testing, pipelines, deployments) / DevOps journey
  • Strong business acumen, including TEM, ITFM .
  • Excellent analytical, strategic planning and execution skills.
  • Ability to develop programs and deliver them with financial and resource constraints.
  • Experience with at least one agile development framework such as SAFe, Scrum, or Nexus
  • Experience across a range of project types.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project planning and agile tools
