Developing, operating and managing the data center infrastructure and facilities the "right" way is synonymous with ensuring high uptime, capacity availability, flexibility and capital and operational cost efficiency in a safe, healthy working environment. Facebook is seeking an experienced and outgoing individual to join our data center economic development research team. This role will partner with our data center economic development team to manage the Location Strategy Index Model, a cross-functional GIS tool that aids in our site selection efforts. The individual will also conduct research, develop metrics, refine strategy and produce content that proactively advances our positive data center narratives and solves problems we’re facing across our global data center footprint.Required Skills: Develop and quantitatively analyze fiscal and economic impacts of proposed policy impacting new and existing data center regions.

Analyze state and local economic trends to guide our data center economic development strategy.

Partner with economic and community development managers to prepare internal and external summary materials needed for community meetings and ongoing site selection efforts.

Collaborate with teams across Infrastructure Data Center Strategy to develop tools and metrics used to define long-term strategies and set location evaluation priorities.

Partner with cross functional teams to drive technical analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases of location evaluation tools.

Define and track key metrics and key quality and performance indicators and drive cross functional execution of location evaluation program deliverables.

Develop mapping applications showing the spatial distribution of various kinds of data and tools to support location evaluation and site selection activities.

Manage and manipulate data from a variety of sources, including data cleaning and harmonization.

Lead various projects related to our data centers, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications: 7+ years of experience doing quantitative analysis.

Experience with mapping software and geospatial analysis, specifically using ESRI GIS software, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Desktop.

Experience applying quantitative methods in a business environment.

Experience in Excel or statistical programming software.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in SQL Server, R or Python.

Experience in geo-database design and management skills.
