Job Id: 58643 Title: Digital Social Media Administrator Location: Onsite - 130 Trinity Ave SW 8th Floor Atlanta, Georgia 30303 Duration: 12 Months Description: The Digital Social Media Administrator will plan and implement the Atlanta Public Schools web and social media program. The position involves maintaining the District website, developing content and measuring performance of the program. The incumbent will be the primary contact for the APS official blog (Talk Up APS) and other social media channels. Additionally, this Administrator will contribute to building a new brand strategy for the District. This position is part of the District's Multimedia Design team in the Office of Communications and Public Engagement that manages the visual communications strategy for the District. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Multimedia Studies, or a related area required.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

3 years of work experience managing content on websites, blogs, and other online platforms, including experience with content management systems. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Plans and executes all web and social media campaigns.
  • Designs, builds, and maintains the school district's social media presence.
  • Oversees updates to web pages for district offices.
  • Provides guidance to web and social media owners/contacts at schools and district offices.
  • Works closely with district's web vendor(s) to support optimization of website tools for all web pages.
  • Provides thought leadership and perspective on digital/social media space.
  • Participates in meetings for division-level projects.
  • Provides monthly reports and tracking of key digital and social media projects.
  • Required to have prompt, regular attendance in-person and be available to work on-site, in-person during regular business hours and as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by an appropriate administrator or their representative.
