Software Development Engineer (Java)Location: Alpharetta, GA or Remote (Eastern Standard time)Duration: 6 months Right to hireDescription:A Software Development Engineer designs, develops, tests, installs, and maintains systems, applications, networks, and/or telecom and related processes to meet the functional objectives of the business. Enhancing applications by identifying opportunities for improvement, making recommendations, designing and implementing systems. Ensures adherence to established technology standards, supports existing systems and will work closely with cross-functional departments to understand the requirements, communicate the project statuses and proposals.Must have skills:
  • Excellent programming skills on JAVA/J2EE, web services (REST or SOAP), JSP, JSF, HTML, JavaScript, Oracle SQL Queries, PL\SQL and Stored Procedures, MVC Framework, EJB, Spring, Sprint Boot
  • 5+ design and development experience in Java programming language
  • 5+ design and development experience with REST and SOAP Web service
  • implementation with Google Apigee framework
  • Development experience with Fiserv Compass or Architect product
  • Experience of Agile delivery methodology and working knowledge of Jira Agile
  • Appian Associate Developer certification
Additional Skills
  • Knowledge of application server -WebLogic or WebSphere.
  • Project Management Tool: JIRA, VersionOne
  • Good to have knowledge on tools like Fortify, Sonatype and Web Inspect.
Preferred Qualifications and Work Experience:
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering.
  • 5 to 7 years of software engineering or software development experience in Java/J2EE technology, preferably in a related field.
