To apply, please visit: https://www.vdart.com/suppliers/ Position: M&A Financial Analyst Location: Detroit, MI or Atlanta, GA Duration: Full Time VDart Inc's Mergers & Acquisitions team is responsible for the research, sourcing, analysis, due diligence, pricing, structuring, and negotiation of target portfolios/companies globally within the IT Consulting sector. The Analyst role involves progressing targets from initial identification through to execution of transactions, undertaking and coordinating due diligence and valuation analysis, and engaging with senior leadership throughout to support transaction decisions. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review and evaluate new M&A targets.
  • Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.
  • Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking.
  • Perform financial due diligence to determine quality of historical earnings and assets and liabilities to be acquired.
  • Prepare detailed financial analysis of financial statements, forecasts and operational data.
  • Develop the financial model to forecast balance sheet, income statement, cash flows, capital distributions, and ultimately investor returns.
  • Develop sensitivity analysis to showcase key value drivers that support pricing decisions.
  • Support the leaders in evaluating potential acquisitions.
  • Support the corporate transition team prior to and following acquisitions.
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
  • Analyze past results, performs variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews.
  • Aid in the capital budgeting and expenditure planning processes.
  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and (Excel) dashboards.
  • Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools.
  • Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comps. Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models.
  • Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommends actions for optimization.
  • Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses.
  • Support other financial related projects as assigned.
  • Flexibility to react to shifting priorities and multi-task as necessary.
  • In addition to the above key responsibilities, you may be required to undertake other duties from time to time as the Company may reasonably require.
Qualifications/Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business/Accounting/Finance/Economics.
  • 3+ years of business finance or other relevant experience required.
  • MBAs, CPAs and CFAs preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
  • M&A due diligence experience highly preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group situations to fellow co-workers, executive leadership.
  • Experience working with and presenting to senior executives.
  • Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions.
  • Strong data gathering, modeling, quantitative and analytical competencies.
  • Self-starter with excellent problem solving and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with and presenting to senior executives.
  • Detail-oriented with critical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to handle multiple projects
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
