Global AdministrationManager of Strategy and Operations - Practice Management Surge PoolWho You'll Work WithYou will be based in one of our offices in North America, as part of our Practice Management Surge Pool. The Practice Management Surge pool is an integral part of the Practice Management Function (PMF) a highly professional, very efficient, and increasingly flexible network across all 18 Client Capabilities cells.Centrally managed by the PMF leadership team, the Practice Management Surge Pool is a team of highly-motivated self-starters with diverse backgrounds and an entrepreneurial mindset. Each Surge Pool member is assigned to a different initiative, but there are regular team calls for experience exchange and a growing community of peers to engage with.What You'll DoYou will be deployed in a practice manager/manager of strategy and operations role to shape and drive a firm priority initiative that requires a temporary boost to accelerate client impact.In this role, you will support a changing set of initiatives over time, with a dynamic scope of responsibilities and priorities, and work directly with the initiative leaders in the sponsoring cells. Deployment on projects can range from between 3 to 6 months with potential further extension upon mutual agreement.You will support a full range of practice management tasks. You will support client development and client service. As all priority initiatives should be client-back, you will spend time developing, shaping, and executing the client development agenda of the initiative.You will facilitate knowledge and insights management. This may range from helping shape the knowledge and asset development strategy for the initiative in collaboration with the sponsoring cell(s) to driving selected knowledge and asset development efforts to curate and disseminate the content.You will shape reach and relevance/external communication. This may include shaping the development and execution of the reach & relevance agenda, ranging from developing "go-to-market" and publication materials to orchestrating external events to executing the multi-channel communication strategy(in close collaboration with the communication function).You will support cell and performance management. We do not expect a significant share of performance management responsibilities, but there will be a strong element of providing leadership support and driving internal communications. You will act as the thought partner for initiative leadership across a wide range of topics and engage with them regularly.You will embrace people leadership. While most of the initiatives will be light on this element, we would expect you to provide coaching for more junior Surge Pool members.You will facilitate interface management while orchestrating alignment on priorities and joint execution across the cell you are supporting as well as within the Client Capabilities function and to other firm functions.You will have in all of your initiatives a strong focus on innovation and building something new, be it a new service line, a new client service model or a cross-cell initiative like our tribes.
