Job Summary:
- A client of ours in Atlanta GA is looking for a Principle Architect for a Contract opportunity.

- The focus of this role is twofold, Helping leadership team drive medium-term and long-term vision and helping the development teams execute effectively against that.
- See and drive a long-range technology strategy and help translate that into tangibles that teams can absorb.
- Knowledge and willingness to learn Health Care business domain, large complex systems & problems and able to create simple solutions which are maintainable and can scale.
- Function as a key technical leader across multiple projects, as a key advisor to Development and Product leaders.
- Accountable for the overall technical quality of the solutions which teams are producing, providing critical feedback to the Development team leads.
- Participate in design, architecture, test plan, and code reviews, even on projects you are not directly contributing to.
- Regularly do code reviews for one or more projects, proactively inspecting and assessing the quality of the work being done by the Development teams.
- Help teams move forward by supporting them in any phase of the project and helping them find ways forward when blocked.
- Be willing to jump into any role needed to help support the teams in your organization, whether writing code, designing architecture, writing test plans, or supporting production code.
- Understand Anthem's technology landscape, ITSM, AWS/Cloud security & governance and work with stakeholders and other architects in providing cost effective and reliable solutions
- Constantly evaluate software delivery value stream and provide executive summary for areas to improve; plan and execute in short iterations
- Be an evangelist of self service and automation
- Provide expertise and coach teams on adopting AWS cloud services for high reliability and cost efficiency
- Experience in building large scale solutions for Web, Mobile and APIs channels.
- Expert level knowledge and experience in the below system design patterns:
- REST & GraphQL API. API spec standards, API development and testing patterns
- Microservices architecture on Kubernetes or OpenShift
- Event Driven architecture and Enterprise integration / messaging patterns with implementation knowledge on cloud (AWS)
- Web protocols and security standards
- System Reliability and fault tolerance. Ability to design and validate systems with 99.995% availability with milliseconds level latencies.
- Serverless / FaaS patterns on AWS
- Multi tenancy
- Expert level knowledge and experience in building data and analytical solutions:
- Database design and Data partitioning techniques in various SQL and No-SQL databases
- Data storage and integration formats
- Storage and processing of large unstructured data on cloud (S3, Glue, EMR, Lambda & Apache Airflow)
- Change data capture and data integration patterns
- Data transformation using functional programming
- Experience in implementing Light weight and automated architecture governance in CI/CD
- Knowledge in Salesforce and Adobe suites are a huge plus
- Java 8+, Python 3, ECMA Script 6, ReactJS, Redux, Kubernetes, Service Mesh, Spring Boot, MongoDB, AWS Databases (RDS/DynamoDB/DocumentDB), S3, Lambda, Kafka, Spark, ALB & NLB, OpenID Connect, CI/CD tools, SNS, SQS, Event Bridge, Kinesis, Data lakes on AWS, Redshift or Snowflake
