Our client is searching for a Systems Engineer specializing in virtualization for a long-term contract that can be worked remotely and may lead to full-time employment.This position will be responsible for building Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), engineering with VMware, and working with Data File Shares. Experience working with ESXi v 6.5 or higher will be needed. Our client is a state government healthcare organization.Duties:Plan and deploy VMware ESXi
Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
