Job Description
The Risk Manager works on-site with a large global customer. This position requires a dynamic individual with a strong security & logistics background as well as excellent analytical, communication, change management, customer service skills and project management. Part of a Global Security Team, the Risk Manager manages the relationships with the third party vendor to onboard internal Business units on the platform. Collaborates across functions and regions to improve relationships, manages and implements projects, and streamlines overall operations utilizing a host of tools including business analysis and process improvement techniques. Makes recommendations for strategic decision making and implementation of global initiatives.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Conduct assessments to define and analyze possible risks threats to supply chainGathering business and customer requirements via different channelsContinuously assess risk data quality on the platform, identify gaps and propose solutions to address those gapsMaintain and develop positive business relationships; listen to customer and stakeholder needs; improve systems and processes to enhance the overall experienceApply security & logistics experience as well as superior communication skills to resolve key business problems and exceed customer expectationsManage and/or support global and regional-specific projects and implementationsDrive quarterly initiatives; work through challenges, report progress and manage project riskFoster an environment of outstanding customer service with a heavy focus on positive attitude, professionalism, preparation, and follow up skillsEnsure all processes and procedures are documented and routinely updated; ensure process maps and visual charts are included for activities and functionsIdentify global inconsistencies and develop methods to standardize them across regions to ensure proper operational backup and escalation are always availableDevelop task lists to ensure all responsibilities are identified, assigned, and monitoredEnsure training materials are current and well understoodMeet minimum annual company training requirementsQualifications
Knowledge of security related transportation methodologyAbility to learn quickly, adapt and execute multiple projects at a timeAble to adapt to rapidly changing situations and priorities. Comfortable adjusting concepts to fit new situations.Work collaboratively within a team, has excellent proficiency using multiple communications platforms (i.e. email, chat, video conference, etc.)Effective interpersonal skills, including negotiation, proven ability to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive resultsRisk sensitive, recognizes when problems arise or are likely to ariseCritical thinking using logic, data & qualitative reasoningAbility to develop, evaluate, and recommend best optionsAnalytical with a strong attention to detailProactive self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced agile environmentAccustomed to leading meetings with customers, vendors and key stakeholders5+ years security, logistics, distribution or related experience2+ years project managementUndergraduate degree in Security, Logistics, Supply Chain, or other related fieldIndustry certifications, a plusExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficient in Google suites, Microsoft suite, VISIO/LucidchartMust be willing to work outside normal business hours, including weekends (as needed)Domestic and international travel maybe required (10%-25%)
